| Celebrating KNTU's IAHR Institutional Membership

We are thrilled to announce that K. N. Toosi University of Technology (KNTU) has joined the International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research (IAHR) as a new institutional member! This significant milestone underscores KNTU's dedication to the global water community and its commitment to fostering international collaboration in water research and education. KNTU's relationship with IAHR is long-standing, with numerous faculty members, researchers, and students actively contributing to IAHR as individual members for many years. These include Dr. Farhad Yazdandoost (since 1999), Dr. Mohammad Javad Ostad Mirza Tehrani (since 2011), and Dr. Karim Alizad (since 2013). As IAHR commemorates its 90th anniversary this year, KNTU's transition from individual participation to united institutional membership marks an exciting new chapter in our partnership. We extend our gratitude to Dr. Hadi Aliakbarian, Director of the KNTU Office of International Affairs, for his invaluable support. KNTU's connection with IAHR has been strong, dating back to the 1st IAHR International Symposium on Hydraulic Structures (ISHS2004) in Tehran. In collaboration with IAHR Hydraulic Structures, the Iranian Hydraulic Association, and the Water Research Institute, KNTU played a vital role in organizing this landmark event. More recently, Dr. Ardalan Izadi has been promoting student and early-career engagement through the IAHR Young Professionals Network (YPN) at KNTU since 2017. Looking ahead, KNTU plans to continue hosting Water Webinars and CHAI Talks with IAHR support and initiating new national, regional, and international events to further collaboration, learning, and impact. KNTU's commitment to water-related research is further exemplified by its WaterChair at the KNTU Faculty of Civil Engineering and leading research centers such as the Water Matters Laboratory (WML), SHENS Lab, and PINTEL CENTER. IAHR warmly welcomes KNTU to our institutional network and eagerly anticipates the opportunities that this partnership will bring to advance hydro-environmental science, education, and collaboration worldwide. We look forward to working closely with Dr. Mohammad Javad Ostad Mirza Tehrani, the official IAHR contact person at KNTU, to ensure strong coordination and active global engagement.
